Cork is an ecological material whose advantages have been known since ancient times. Initially, it was mainly used as a raw material for storing liquors, because bottle corks were perfect for keeping wines and other alcoholic beverages clean. Over time, however, its use was extended and it was used, among others, for fishing or as an auxiliary insulation material. Nowadays, cork is found in almost every home. Cork pads that successfully protect our furniture from damage or other accessories are often necessary kitchen equipment. Cork has a certain unusual property, it is impervious to liquids and gases, thanks to which it does not absorb moisture. It also has a low thermal conductivity coefficient. And it owes all this to its unique construction.
